An introduction of me!

Hello! My name is Grace Carcot and this is my second semester at LMC. My major is still undecided but I am interested in interior design and organization. I hope and plan on completing my general education at LMC and then transfer, I am also not sure where I want to transfer to yet. I hope to find clarity in exactly what I what to do with my future this year and a long term goal of mine would be to possibly one day have my own business in the field of home services involving interior design and organization which are two things I am very passionate about. Some other Interesting facts about myself are that I grew up in a family of 5, I am a middle child and have two other sisters along with our dog Asher who is a Golden Doodle. I nanny during the week for a few different families which I love to do. I also love to travel either being out of the country, to different states or even different cities in California. My family and I love to go on vacations together and our favorite vacation would have to be  Disney Cruises. Last year we went to Europe and visited Paris and London, London has to be one of my favorite places I have been to. That city has so much charm and beauty with so much to see and do and I hope to visit it again in the future. I like to stay busy and fill my time with many productive actives to try and make the most of each day. In addition, I enjoy listening to music and I enjoy a number of different genres. I like to listen to music because it allows me to escape life for a little bit of time but also can have the effect of helping me be productive and motivated. That is a glimpse of who I am and what I enjoy, I hope this semester is a good one.

    Hi Grace, interior design sounds like so much fun. I have also been on cruises but never a Disney cruise. I would love to experience one in the near future. My daughter has been fascinated with Paris and London but she's only 8 so we've decided to wait a bit longer in hopes she would appreciate the experience a bit more than she would at her age now. It is very exciting that your are thinking of being a business owner in the future.

    Hey, Grace! I love your introduction. It reminded me of my sister-in-law. Her major is a little bit similar to yours and she loves kids too, so she takes care of them at church. I'm assuming you are an awesome person then. I also found interesting that you're dreaming of having your own business. It is incredible to pursue dreams, we feel so satisfied when they are achieved! Also, it's so nice that you've been to Europe! I kinda envy you because traveling to Europe is one of the items in my bucket list haha

    Hello Grace! It is very difficult to decide where you want to transfer and what you want to transfer for. I recommend looking at a passion of yours and really trying to find a major that is suitable for that. If you can't really find one that is applicable, maybe sit down with a counselor and discuss a major that can be widely accepted so it is more guaranteed that you will find a job. I hope the search of a school and major works out for you!

    Thank you for sharing. I hope you find which major you want to pursue to help you build your career. I think taking business classes is a stepping stone to having a home service involving interior design and organization business. What music to you listen to? I find rock pretty much therapeutic and it helps me focus on driving. I do want to know more about London and Paris. Those places look glorious in the Internet, and actually being these is a blessing! Best of luck!

    Interior design seems like an awesome career to go into. I too am currently focusing on my general education classes to transfer to a four year school. Having your own business is an awesome goal in life, so don't give up at that because it will take a long time. I too would someday like to have my own business.

    Hi Grace!
    Interior design and organization are good areas of interest. Organization is trending right now, with the organization tv shows and tons of people to follow on social media with their suggestions. Recently, I have been feeling like I have to declutter my house, so I am working on one area at a time and organizing at the same time. The trouble I have is once I do it, my husband and kids mess it up and it doesn’t stay clean. I want to go on a Disney cruise, maybe in a few years, we can go.
    Enjoy traveling with your family and continuing school, as long as you stay focused you will make the right decisions for your future.

    Hi Grace. I know this post is from the first part of the semester, but I am just reading it. It is great that you are already on your second semester at LMC. Are you taking 12 units? I also think that it is great that you want to own your own business one day. I would love to own my own business. Wouldn't it be great to be your own boss and not have to worry about being a couple minutes late? I would also like the control to make the decisions and choose who I work with. Interior design and Organization sound interesting. I think my mom would have been great in that field. I also like music and to explore different places. We have a lot in common. I have a dog too. I enjoyed reading your post and I wish you the best! Thanks for sharing.

Topic research

The project topic I will choose is " "Explore the relationship between elements of the selection. For example: how does setting influence character development?".  The key elements needed for this project will be for me to focus on one element, and how that connects another element and the relationship those two have. I am choosing this topic because I like to see how a story comes toghether through the interaction of different elements. I have found that while all elements in a story are important to move the story along the key elements I will choose from will be setting, character, plot or point of view. upon further research, I think I will explore the relationship between character and setting.

The stock, week 8

The more I review how far I have long in the class the better I feel about it. I am sure that now I am up to date on backing up up my blog post and I have taken stock of where I am in the class. I have read all of the announcements that have been posted and I am on track.
