Analysis, week 16

The plot of this poem moved the stanzas along to flow well. The theme of there might be something greater out there or something that we are not aware of in the universe. Religious background can play into this poem the idea of there may be something else out there other than God is an idea only some religions and people would agree with. The context and background of the author and where she is getting these ideas from are interesting, you have to believe certain things and have certain personal backgrounds to be able to write something like she did.

Reading Notes, Smith

Similie and metaphors are being used in the poem. Tracy Smiths poem explores ideas that and explores ideas not everyone may think of. She explores this 'other life' and what else may be out there. the idea of we truly know so little even thoughtwe think we know so much but really there is so much out there that is unknown and when or will we truly ever know?

Take stock, week 16

Taking stock I was able to save all of my work from the year so I know it will not get lost. I m also all up to date on the annocentments so I know what is expected of me for the rest of the year.

Weekly review, week 16

The readings for this week went pretty well, I feel like I struggled through one of them but I was able to work through it and come up with a pretty good post. My best writing for this week came from a different class which was an essay I had to do, I feel like I  was well educated on the topic and created a very well done paper that I am proud of. I found some other pretty good readings that other students had done this week, we are all pushing for the end of the year so everyone seems to produce the last of their best work. My plans for next week is to push through and write some good work as it will be the last week of school. We are almost to the end and I feel like I have done some great work so I am happy to almost be done.

take stock, week 15

I backed up my blog so if anything happens all of my hard work will be saved. I have done all of my declarations, and my work is up to date. I also reviewed all of the announcements so I am informed about everything.

Weekly review week 15

Reading went well for this week. I enjoyed reading the book I had chosen the previous weeks as each week the story kept building so getting back into usual readings and notes this week has been a bit harder. My best writing was my analysis on Vietnam Eazy, I was into the book and so the analysis came easy to me. This week I also read some really good project planning submissions. I think these last projects will be very good and I am excited to read them. My plans for next week is to stay on top of work and get it done early so I can focus on work for other classes as well and do not feel stressed.

Reading notes, week 15 Moton

Fred Moton " Slave Trade" Moton uses metaophors to decribe aspects of his writing. Talks about his cultuaral background and people in his commnuity. Moton is telling a pesonla story and gives people insight on the background of his childhood, upbringing and background.

Reading Notes, week 15 Nelson

Maggie Nelson, Author of The Red Parts about the trial and conviction of Gary Leiterman. She writes for her childhood and to share these trial cases. Nelson also focuses on the idea of grieving and how one can do so successfully, she is mourning the loss of a family member but also so involved in the case on a work side and not so personal way. Nelson does not just stick to one genre of writing but has many different books that express different topics. She goes beyond the surfaces to really bring her readers all the details and it seems like her readers and conveying a good story to them is her main priority in writing. Nelson writing was rewarded for " extraordinary originality"

Week 14, Projet Planning

The project prompt I will discuss for my third project is: Compare and contrast elements of two different texts. For example, explore the similarities and differences between two characters in the texts, or examine how one theme is handled in similar and dissimilar ways in two different texts. This prompt is asking me to pick two different stories and then examine how they are similar and different and more the elements such as character, setting or theme are similar and different in the two stories.  The readings for this prompt I will use is going to be Vietnam Eazy by Trami Cron and the story About-the-House-Girl in The Literature of California. Different elements of the theme in the two stories will be discussed. I will further discuss how the main characters in the two stories have similar upbringings with both their individual cultures that impact their lives and influences what happens to them. Another similarity between the two stories I will discuss is how the mother or m...

Week 14, Analysis

In the last part of the book, I read Vietnam Eazy written by Trami Cron. The use of the literary device, point of view has been very important in this book, Trami talks about and recalls a personal story, she tells a story about personal experiences and thoughts while switching from present time together recalling past stories that have impacted her and shaped her into who she is today. Because Trami is the one telling the story about herself the reader is then hearing all of these accounts through her eyes which influences the way and changes the way the reader may read the text. Through this last part of the book the theme of acceptance and value of someone as been carried on. Trami has told the readers a few more accounts of when she saw the theme running through her life. Culture plays a big role into this theme with the high standards Trami has to follow in Vietnamese culture. A big emotional toll was experienced by Trami to her feeling undermined and forgotten by others and even ...
