Weekly review, Week 9

This week the reading went well, they were not really ones that I enjoyed to read but they went well. What struck me the most in the readings was that they were focused on characters and character development through the plot of the story. I think identifying the different themes in the story was hard for me to do and a lot more analyzing had to be done to do so. My best writing this week came from a different class I learned some new things that I think will back me a better writer. I read some other pretty good writings this week. Things in the class are going fine for me but school, in general, has been stressful these past few weeks but I have been able to connect some writing techniques from this class with others. This next week we are on spring break so I am looking forward to a break for me to recharge and do my best for the rest of the year.

For project number 2 I plan on writing about the topic Choose one short story or novel excerpt. Write a piece in which you explore the following: In what ways could this story be considered an artifact of history? What does this story teach us about history? I really enjoyed reading this story so I think further discussing it will be good. Topic research

The project topic I will choose is " "Explore the relationship between elements of the selection. For example: how does setting influence character development?".  The key elements needed for this project will be for me to focus on one element, and how that connects another element and the relationship those two have. I am choosing this topic because I like to see how a story comes toghether through the interaction of different elements. I have found that while all elements in a story are important to move the story along the key elements I will choose from will be setting, character, plot or point of view. upon further research, I think I will explore the relationship between character and setting.

The stock, week 8

The more I review how far I have long in the class the better I feel about it. I am sure that now I am up to date on backing up up my blog post and I have taken stock of where I am in the class. I have read all of the announcements that have been posted and I am on track.
