Reading notes Week 14, Vietnam Eazy part 2

Trami Cron discusses personal accounts of her dating life and what that looks like in Vietnamese culture. You were considered bad if you liked someone and dating someone was considered inappropriate. Common gestures like men bringing flowers to the girl when going on date was a common practice in Vietnamese culture but one that Trami disliked. Dating was unacceptable to Tramis mother and once when she was caught with a boy her mother most definitely expressed how wrong she was for being seen with a boy. Trami continues to show throughout this story how a Vietnamese culture deals with common social issues differently, and most of them tiring Trami out and they are customs she wishes she could not carry with her because of how tolling they have been on her.

Topic research

The project topic I will choose is " "Explore the relationship between elements of the selection. For example: how does setting influence character development?".  The key elements needed for this project will be for me to focus on one element, and how that connects another element and the relationship those two have. I am choosing this topic because I like to see how a story comes toghether through the interaction of different elements. I have found that while all elements in a story are important to move the story along the key elements I will choose from will be setting, character, plot or point of view. upon further research, I think I will explore the relationship between character and setting.

The more I review how far I have long in the class the better I feel about it. I am sure that now I am up to date on backing up up my blog post and I have taken stock of where I am in the class. I have read all of the announcements that have been posted and I am on track.
