Reading notes, week 14 Vietnam Eazy
The author, Trami Cron tells a personal story and upbringing the book Vietnam Eazy. In the last part of the book, Trami discusses how she often times feels undermined and that not everyone is aware of what one may be feeling or experiencing. Trami states: “ I thought about all the times I allowed women to be unkind to me and I did not fight back, all because of my Buddhist upbring” Due to Tramis upbringing she took what people said to her, tearing her apart emotionally and not feeling like she could do anything about it because of her cultural background.
Generations in Vietnamese culture and to come up with ways to beat and overcome adversity. Trami says in order for them to survive with dignity from the social problems they faced they would have to come up with stories and tales that placed the Vietnamese soul over other races for once.
